Education Moral / Ethical Education

SOCPLSDO considers moral / ethical education to be very important. We believe it is vital for social welfare. Social morality is decreasing and is a major problem in the world, which results in many catastrophic events such as war and killing. Strengthening and extending social morality through education is the key factor for social harmony and quality of life.
Teaching children about social values and morality can help prevent war, killing, violence, prejudice, ill-treatment, conflicts and exploitation of others. Instead we would live in a society full of respect for human rights, virtues, equality and quality. The loss of morality is a loss of what defines us as human and not animals.

Free Foreign Language Education

SOCPLSDO has been running a free foreign language school, which is located in Chres Village Kandek Commune Bakong District Siem Reap Province, Kingdom of Cambodia. We currently have three classes; English class, Japanese class, and Chinese class.
This is the greatest opportunity for our community, especially for the orphans and the poor children to get a foreign language education. If they were to take private classes they would have to pay from $3 to $7 per month for one student. In Siem Reap foreign languages are very important, especially abilities in English, Japanese, and Chinese. To be able to communicate in these languages means that they can find it easier to get good jobs in the hotel, restaurant, and/or tourist industries.
Language is so important that, even with a Bachelor Degree, it is still hard to get a job without foreign language abilities. This means that the understanding and knowledge of foreign language are of paramount importance in this growing popular tourism destination, Siem Reap. To date we have over 350 orphans and poor children from various communities that are living and learning in our school and orphanage.

Basic Needs Support

In order for children to be able to go to school without paying, they also need us to support them with some kind of basic needs too. The causes that have led to them being unable to go to school is poverty. This means that the children need to work hard everyday to send money to their families as well as just to be able to afford food for themselves. If we simply education them and encourage them without any support, it would be futile and very difficult to achieve.
Simple speaking, full stomach today, and sleeping and thinking for tomorrow, because if you don't have a full stomach today how can they care about tomorrow. SOCPLSDO was created to support them with the basic needs such as food, clothing, materials, accommodation, school supplies, school uniforms, school bags, books and heath services.

Health Care Education

Health care education is vitally important for families, and communities. Because of the lack of public hospitals and clinics many Cambodia people are living without even the basic understanding of proper hygiene and disease prevention.

Health services: most orphans and poor children have no chance to access services at health centres or hospitals.
Due to poverty the general knowledge and understanding of the important of good health is very limited; so, we provide health services for those children to make sure that they are healthy and that they have been checking and accessing the services at the health centres like any other children.

School Supplies

The cost is just $10 per year for a child. For this amount of money they can get a school uniform, a school bag, school books, two pens, a pencil, an eraser, a pencil case, drawing paper, color pencils, and so on. If, however, they do not receive a school uniform the cost is only $5 or $6 each.

Vocational Training Center

Since SOCPLSDO is a very young organization we are planning on running three divisions at the vocational training center. We are appealing to all the donors, NGOs, generous agents, generous friends, etc... who wish to support this project :

A: Foreign Language Center
B: Computer training Center
C: Sewing Center

These centres are very important to help us build sustainable human resources as well as to keep them with a sustainable income as well.
