Children's Stories

Chres Village School and Orphanage currently have 49 orphans that live in, also there are 350 children that attend the English, Chinese, Japanese and computer classes on a daily basis. On this page you can find out a little more about a few of these children.

PHAT CHOU PHANG

PHAT CHOU PHANG is 12 years old. His father died in 2001 through an illness. His mother is a widow. He came to live in the orphanage on 27th August 2007. He lived with his mother before he came to live in the orphanage. He studies three languages, Khmer, English and Chinese, he is a smart student and he likes reading books. He wants to be teacher, he likes teaching children, he said that he has fun helping people.

PROEUNG DIAB

PROEUNG DIAB is 15 years old. Both her parent died through HIV. She came to live in the orphanage on 15th September 2007. She lived with her grandmother before she came to live in the orphanage. She is study grade 6, she always speak English with her friends. She is good at English speaking. She wants to be tour guide.

SOEUNG SEU

SOEUNG SEU is 14 years old. Both his parent were dead by the time he was 5 years old. He came to live in orphanage on 15th November 2007, before this he lived with sister. He currently studies three languages, Khmer, English and Chinese. He is very good at English speaking. He like reading, and in the future he want to be Translator and Tour Guide.

CHEN SREY CHAN

CHEN SREY CHAN is 11 years old. Her father died in 1999 in the war. Her mother died in 2003 due to an illness. She came to live in orphanage on 15th December 2007. Before this she lived with her grandfather. She always keep her smiling with everyone. . She is a study grade 5.

SIN KAIV KO SORL

SIN KAIV KO SORL is 12 years old, he doesn’t have any siblings. His father died in 1998 through an illness. His mother is necrotic. He came to live in the orphanage on 12th June 2007. He likes reading. He is a study grade 5. He is very good at English speaking, he want to be a teacher in the future.

THUL SALUN

THUL SALUN is 13 years old. She is a study grade 6 and she is very shy. She is always very quiet in the classroom, but she is very good with English and Khmer writing. Her parent both died through an illness, she lived with Grandmother before she came to live in the orphanage. She want to be a nurse.

SEK VISAL

SEK VISAL is 13 years old, he came to live in the orphanage on 12th June 2007. His mother died in 2005 in a traffic accident, his father died in 2006 through an illness. He has one brother, he is a funny boy. He likes jacking. He always copies someone's actions. He is a very smart student, he is currently study 6 grade. He wants to be tour guide or a teacher.

SUN REAK

SUN REAK SA is11 years old, she doesn’t have any sibling. She came to live in the orphanage on 30th April 2008. Her mother went to work in Thailand and has been there since 2001, she has to come back. Her father died through an illness. She is a little girl in the orphanage. She is so cute. She is currently study grade 2. She wants to be receptionist.

PHAT SOPHERM

PHAT SOPHERM is 11 years old, his father died in 2000 through an illness and his mother is widow. He came to live in the orphanage on 9th July 2007, before this he lived with grandmother. He is currently a study grade 5, he likes drawing and painting pictures. He is very good at drawing, he always copies every picture that he see's. He wants to be artist. He said that “Love Arts and Love Our World Make Us Happy Every Time”.

PO SREY LY

PO SREY LY is 15 years old, her father died by drowning, he was a fisherman. Her mother got married again. She comes to live in the orphanage on 9th July 2007 she was living with her sister before coming to live in the orphanage. She likes dancing and singing. She is a very funny girl. She wants to be a teacher or a nurse.
