Kengo

Hello. Let me start by introducing myself. My name is Kengo Kitaura. I am the chairman of Advantage Network Japan Foundation.
I visited the Chres Village School and Orphanage in May of 2009.
I went to Siem Reap to see the ruins of Angkor. After visiting the ruins of Angkor, I happened to come across a flier for the Quad Adventure Cambodia tour company. It just so happens that at that time I had been looking for an exciting tour to go on. So I called the tour company and booked a holiday tour. During the tour we stopped at the Chres Village School and Orphanage.

I had always wanted to do something to help the people living in developing countries. After arriving in Cambodia, I began to talk to my friend about what we could do to help. Then while visiting the Chres Village School and Orphanage I decided to do something.

There are many charitable organizations working to help people, the environment, human rights, medical treatment, and for world peace. Most of these issues were caused by humans, so I believe that they can be solved by humans. Education can be a tool to help people solve problems. I want to give children the opportunity to get a good education. If they are given a good education, they will try to make a more positive future. Hopefully, with this education, they will be able to solve some of the world’s problems.

After loosing the war, Japan was in ruins, but we were able to rebuild our country and become an industrialized nation. In my opinion, this is due in part to education. Now, Cambodia is still recovering from a devastating civil war. As Japan also had to recover from a terrible war, I can empathize with the people of Cambodia. I believe Cambodia can become an industrialized nation.

I decided to help support the education of Asian countries, especially those that have an interest in learning the Japanese language. It was while visiting the Chres Village School and Orphanage that I decide to start supporting education, that’s why I chose this school as the first to support.

To all of the people who see this website, I highly recommend that you take the Quad Adventure Cambodia’s 4WD bike tour to see the beautiful Cambodian countryside and visit the Chres Village School and Orphanage. I’m sure you’ll be impressed by the sight of the people living in harmony with nature and by the pure eyes of the children. Let’s do everything in our power to help the people of Cambodia and other Asians countries by supporting the education of their children.
